About

The one consistent thing in my life seems to be change. Learning to blog is one of those changes. In college, I actually chose my biology/chemistry major to avoid too much writing! So blogging is something I discovered late in my life, reluctantly. Through blogging, I have discovered an outlet to express the lessons I have learned while living a life of following Christ, many of which I learned the hard way. My hope is that my lessons can be used to help someone else in their pursuit of living out the Christian life with all of its challenges. My words, like salt, are meant to season and preserve. But mostly, I have a need to share what I am learning.

Most of my blogs are influenced by 32 years of teaching science in Texas Public Schools. I believe public schools are the best tool Christians have to reach our children for Christ.
